My first cat I tried to accomplish was very difficult. Her eyes were a bright yellow with beautiful white fur. Trying to use white grout was interesting. It’s fun to look back at my original art and see how far I’ve come!
This cat was very complicated with her fur. She has "Owl" like eyes. She was definitely the most complex piece I have done.
This is the neighborhood cat. She lurks around homes early in the morning capturing gophers, rats and birds. She loves to rub her face up and down your leg purring…

I made this stepping stone called "Golden Moments" for a silent auction. I didn't grout the outside rocks and glass tile so the true colors could shine through.
While cruising around one of my favorite stores, I purchased this Fox plate and decided to break it. It has a thicker brown plate surrounding it. I then placed rocks and glass tiles to keep the circle going. Stained glass colors starting at the top remind me of the sunset. Then I broke more plates to frame this. I wouldn't walk on it because it is quite bumpy. However it looks fantastic as a picture.
Happy birthday to our dear friend, Phil. He wanted a mosaic of his Mallard male duck. I decided to place him on a rock instead of swimming in a dark pond. His wings were challenging with the different values of grey, purple and white.

This piece can be displayed at a windowsill with the light shining through. I want to do more of this style, takes lots of practice to get the grout perfect with no bleeds. On to the next…
It’s fun to see where my mosaics live. Here’s a couple examples.
Enjoy!
This was a birthday/anniversary gift. The challenge was the contrast of the dogs with the background. I learned that the sunflower meaning is “enduring forever love.” After 50 years of marriage, they have accomplished that!
